General Guidelines For Writing Notes That Show You Care:
Show that your card is specially selected for a specific recipient by beginning with his or her name.
Even if the card states the occasion on the front, or the inside verse, restate the reason with a personal note.
Add a sentence or two that speaks specifically to the recipient. A casual tone is suitable for family and friends, while a formal tone is more appropriate for business relationships.
Don’t forget to include your name! You know it’s from you, make sure they do, too!
